The account doesn’t really act like someone pretending to be an actor, and whoever runs it was mainly posting during the SAG strike when she would have had more free time. So I want to believe it’s her, because she replied to one of my posts and that was pretty cool.

2 units (in this case houses) down and 2 across (a perhaps intentional misinterpretation of the original slightly ambiguous statement). Reasonable to assume down and across are perpendicular directions. Let’s pretend space-time is Euclidean. How far away is the listener from the sneeze? Pythagoras, our faithful companion, guides our understanding…√(2²+2²)=√8=2√2

probably not a real squid though

I am currently visiting some friends I’ve been talking to on a forum for years but have never met. We’ve all been really close despite that. It’s sort of a three-day forum party and it’s been amazing.

Why do I bring this up?

I needed a shirt to wear for the first day so I didn’t have to keep telling people who I was and I found the perfect shirt. (Excuse the crease, I took the picture the day after.)

Edit: are the downvoters disillusioned by the revelation of my false endoskeleton?

I’ve seen them a lot as well, but personally in my interactions, I’ve found them to be abrasive, narrow minded, and eager to take things personally. Lowkey don’t mind that, it’s not the internet if everyone is some polite bland npc.

But add mod powers for many communities and…

You are being overly antagonistic and seem unreasonably attached to labeling me as right wing.

You post too often and inaccurately for conversations like this not to occur again. I’ve already corrected your posts twice today and further interactions could be mistaken for a grudge.

I don’t like blocking people because I’m here to hear a variety of opinions, but it’s probably better for everyone if I do so.

As a parting thought, I’ll leave you with the definition of a bigot and let you reflect.

A person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

I’ve had good and bad interactions with them, so I just think “hey they are flawed (hopefully) human beings that have good days and bad days”. Chances are if I treat them (or anyone) kindly, the interaction will be positive.

My goal online is to try and be a wholesome user, although that doesn’t always happen. I usually delete my comments when I don’t like how I acted with someone else as I want to remind myself to take a kinder approach to Lemmy. There’s enough toxicity online.

I think “would Mr. Rodgers approve?”

I also get annoyed at lightning fast responses. And I agree 100%

It takes no time or energy to come up with one answer to a question. I’m fact, I think most humans’ brains are built for snap decisions like that.

But to weigh multiple answers against each other, poking holes in the answers you are most inclined to believe? That takes thought. And if someone is not doing that for you, then odds are, their brain is simply letting them take the discussion less seriously than your brain (or your morality) allows.

So I think you have every right to feel frustrated at such behavior.
