Yeah I actually have friends who work for my city, I told them to let me know if positions open up, but the other issue is that city jobs are so good that no one leaves lol. I’m looking to switch to sys admin work because I have a background in that, I’m hoping to get my base level cert in that this year.

Oh I made it, I make more than a lot of my peers in highschool, not all of them, but I make a good wage. But I fucking hate the dev industry man. I was unemployed for 3 months and I got so much done. Agile methodology sucks the soul out of me, I don’t have anything left for my personal projects. It’s micromanagement incarnate. Oh you had two bad dev cycles in a row? Guess it’s time for a PIP. Oh you had to step away for an errand a few times this dev cycle? Let’s not make it a habit, even though all your work is done. Oh you have mutiple 2 hour meetings to attend and we still label you as having full capacity meaning you have to figure out how to do 8 days of dev work in almost half that time. I’m so fucking tired of it.

I mean occums Occam’s Razor, are we sure the mod(s) didn’t delete their accounts leaving the community unmoderated or something?

Yeah it took me a few hours of research and plugin setup to get feature parity with Plex, and then even so I don’t have anything to replace plexamp yet

Genuinely Plex has become so obtrusive about NEW FEATURES, NOW WE HAVE THIS, USE THIS THUS WAY!!! and then also my libraries have somehow become even slower to load. I’ve been using jellyfin way more often

Only issue is embed videos don’t work rn, I’m currently trying out summit and really like it so far, pressing back does reset your feed to the top though, which is annoying

+1 on Razer mice, I use the Razer naga pro and I love it, I HATE their software and open it as little as possible, but their mouse quality is pretty good for gaming.

I used to use Logitech, which has much better software in Windows and actually has 3rd party software that lets you customize buttons in Linux, but their switches on their mice go out so quickly. There is a known flaw with their switches and they don’t fix it. IMO Logitech has lowered their quality quite a bit and still kept their prices the same. The last mouse I got from them basically deteriorated, like the side grips basically disintegrated from regular use, in half the time of the Logitech mouse before, and the only reason I replaced the other mouse was because the switches in it died.

I do, but boy am I looking for a better keyboard, gboard has really gone downhill, I mean it was never great but it’s just straight up putting completely wrong totally unrelated words in place of REAL FUCKING WORDS. I miss pre-microsoft swiftkey, they had the best text prediction I’ve ever used. I remember in college my friend and I had a convo about how it was so good that he would have a full text to his dad perfectly predicted and he felt bad because he basically let a robot do the thinking for him lol. Now it’s been gutted by microsoft, and the text correction is just as janky as gboard.

I mean for one this is by design, so that they don’t know how fucked our country is, but also our country is the size of several European countries so it’s not exactly apples to apples. Even state to state you can have wildly different traditions, house styles, etc.

Really didn’t like him when he was younger, he was a naive swedish kid that didn’t realize that the dumb shit he said online had ramifications because his audience was so big. He helped platform Ben Shapiro to a younger generation when he had him on his channel for a video, he had that scandal where he said the n word, and then of course the clip where he says the glass ceiling doesn’t exist. It’s clear to me he didn’t realize the cultural and political ramifications of that stuff in America because he was never really exposed to it growing up in Sweden, and he was a cocky 20 something that thought he knew everything.

I hope these days he’s realizing how idiotic some of that shit was and is actually trying to use his platform to make his viewers aware of valid issues rather than spouting off about topics he knows nothing about to his viewers who take his word as truth.
