This was my go-to for a while. I still keep this one on hand, but I recently have been defaulting to Hoff Sauce more recently. If you see it for sale, I recommend you give it a try.
I was in the hospital last month and the screen lock on the computer cart that they use to access your records and record information was showing advertisements.
It wasn’t even medical related. It was for a fast food chain.
When I was younger, we moved around a lot, and as side effect of that, we paid for a storage unit to hold less frequently used stuff. Around the time I started high school, we managed to buy a house, and moved everything from the storage unit into our home. In it there was a picnic basket that I had never seen before. I remember looking inside and finding a horrible smelling bag of “bread” which was actually a black liquid with lumps in it. There was also some individually wrapped cheese slices which visually speaking were indistinguishable from any I could buy in the store today.
I think I was the bullet my relationships dodged. I didn’t realize how broken my childhood was and how shitty I treated my girlfriends. I don’t know what changed. Maybe it was just putting some distance between me and my family, but something let me develop a little perspective. I wish I could go back and apologize to so many exes.
This was a really recent realization for me. I am one of the people who can voluntarily activate the tensor tympani muscles in my ears to create a low level rumbling sound. I recently tried explaining this to someone else and they still think I am making it up.
“Nothing worth mentioning, you?”
I think libre office is even a maybe in this case. Give them a browser and they’ll be fine.
This sounds like owning a 3d printer.
There was a burrito shop that had a frequent customer card that you could use to earn points towards a free menu item. You could register the card online and for whatever reason you could add multiple cards to the same account.
A friend of mine realized that if you registered a new card they would give you a decent chunk of points just for signing up, then you could merge that account in with your existing account and get free points.
Every chance he got he would grab handfuls of the cards, activate them all, and get tons of free food.
I do this, but recently had the realization that my small percentage of cash back is sourced from the fee the credit card company charges to the vendor. After this realization I now prefer to pay cash when dealing with small local businesses. I’ve even found a few places that will give you a discount for not using a credit card which is quite nice.
My wife says I pronounce crayon wrong. The way she says it, it’s a single syllable word that is the same as the first syllable of cranberry. I say it as two syllables: cray-on.
Being fully honest, I’ve started drawing it out and articulating both syllables more because I know she doesn’t like it.
Similar to the nail polish suggestion, they also make clear spray paint.
Is it you and your memory just isn’t as good as it used to be?
Personally, as with a lot of the comments, I’m in the food-prep and make it yourself crowd.
I found a book that dives into the details of when it is and isn’t worth making things from scratch.
It’s called Make the Bread, Buy the Butter.
Honestly, I haven’t read it yet. I bought it and let my mom borrow it immediately, but when I get it back I think it will an interesting read.
No, it is not the world I want to live in, but I am not convinced it would be worse than the current world.
There’s a lot of “billionaires shouldn’t exist” and “eat the rich” sentiment out there. I often suggest jokingly that it should be legal to murder someone once they reach a certain level of wealth. It might motivate them to limit their greed at some point, perhaps be less exploitative of those who are working to generate their wealth or share more of it. And even if they pass the threshold, they may give more concern to how they treat people and how they are perceived.
The only reason it is expanding is to keep up with inflation.
I know my comment was low effort. I appreciate the supportive response anyway, even if it wasn’t that well deserved.
Thank you.
