Could we add a rule to this community against posts that are clearly just using the form of a question for proselytizing?

In case anyone else had no idea what that word is as well:

    proselytize verb

    1. : to induce someone to convert to one’s faith
    2. : to recruit someone to join one’s party, institution, or cause

Either way, I don’t think a rule would be needed, I haden’t really even realized there was an issue with it.

All. Part of what bothers me is the dishonesty of phrasing it as a question. It strikes me as counter to the spirit of asklemmy, if the question isn’t actually honestly seeking an answer. I’d be happy with a rule along those lines instead.

I agree. One thing that bugs me about lemmy is how intellectually dishonest and blind people are when it comes to their own biases.
