I guess everyone who leaves their house daily will have some kind of list. Mine~ Car keys, Wallet, Phone, Headphones, Leatherman multitool, Generally positive attitude
Yes, I always carry my notarized egg currency with me…
Nitroglycerin :(
Glad issues were found when they were though and am consistently getting better :)
Generally positive attitude
I always leave mine at home so it doesn’t get ruined.
I have ADHD so I get rid of most problems by literally tying things to myself. I have a second belt which goers over my pants and have a hip bag attached to it. In that I have the following;
Disposable nitrile gloves (3-4 pairs)
Hand sanitiser
Power bank (10000mAh)
USB C cable
Thumb drives (one with kids shows, one with software, one blank)
USB A to C adapter
Wallet
ID lanyard
Emergency cash (not in wallet because if I lose my wallet I still have my cash)
Tissues
Aspirin, paracetamol, and ibuprofen
Ritalin
Plastic bags for rubbish
Nasal inhaler (for blocked nose, long term issue)
Car and house keys (attached on a clip, not inside)
Then I have my pockets for phones (I have 2), wireless headphones, and anything else for the day.
By keeping my keys attached I cannot get in the car without my belt bag.
Clothes. Mostly because public nudity is frowned upon by some people.
Everytime? Depends on what I am doing. Is it a walk, bikeride, or drive?
Each has different requirements.
Glasses. That is the one thing that is on the list for all trips.
Wallet: drive. License: bike. Helmet: bike. Walk, maybe nothing but glasses.
Phone about half the time for any of those things. Trying to not bring it as much. The thing you miss most with a phone while out when you don’t have it is the ability to take pictures.
“Testicles, spectacles, wallet, and watch”
Keys, glasses, wallet, and phone.
I keep most of my “EDC” stuff in my bag — chapstick, keys, hand sani, etc.
If I’m going out for a while and I expect it to get dark, I like to pack a flashlight.
I used to carry a knife but sometimes it makes going into bars and clubs awkward so I usually leave it at home now
Wallet, smartphone, headphones, 36 oz water bottle (topped off), keys if I’m driving somewhere.
Oh, and I double-check to ensure I’m fully (properly) clothed and wearing my glasses. I’ve definitely made it as far as my car, before realizing I’m still wearing pajama pants.
And my vision is not that bad, so I can roam my house without glasses. But once I hit the open road, I suddenly realize I can’t see anything.
When I was in the military, I used to carry a multitool (eg. Leatherman) on my belt everywhere I went. But now that I’m a retired civilian, it just causes problems if I need to explain why I have a knife on me.
Even though it’s a multitool, everyone just sees it as a blade. And I’d rather not have someone confiscate it. When you’re wearing a military uniform, no one questions it. But I’ve definitely been stopped in some stores because I was carrying it in civilian clothes.
My wife also bought me a lockpicking set, but I don’t know how to use it yet, so I removed it from my keychain. No sense carrying it around if I can’t use it. Maybe once day…
My list is exactly the same as yours! Phone, wallet, keys, airpods, and leatherman
I have a sling bag that keeps everything I EDC other than my phone and knife. So phone, knife, and bag is all I think of before leaving home. In my bag:
- EpiPen
- Wallet
- Keys
- Currently my newborn’s temp health card
- Leatherman
- Meds (pain meds, nausea meds, etc)
I’d like to get a decent flashlight and a decent pair of earbuds (either wireless or USB-C wired) so those probably in the near future. Otherwise I think that’s it other than random misc stuff I need to take out (receipts etc).
Obviously also stuff I wear (clothes, wedding ring, watch) but that’s always on.
My glasses. I can’t see without my glasses
- Keys
- Phone
- Headphones
- E-Cigarette
- Steam Deck (I am pretty anxious when many people are in the subway - playing keeps my stress level down)
- phone
- wallet
- keys
- vape pen
- wedding ring
The last one is specifically mentioned because I don’t generally wear it at home, I become way too aware of it in my hand and it starts irritating.
For same reason if I’m about to leave the house without it, I become very aware of something missing and “feeling naked” without it.
If I’m going cycling, I usually leave wallet home and instead just grab bank card and ID card with me in fannypack with the rest items mentioned.
Needed: keys.
Optional: wallet, phoneFirst sane person in this thread.
