France. Specifically, a little town called Ardres.

I’d love to go and live in Lyon, France. I was there for about a month and the people were cool, lots of local events, shops, scenery. The food was amazing. It was a bit pricey for someone who makes money in Japanese Yen, but it was totally worth it.

Galway Ireland. Just north a bit. Clonboo area. Just peaceful to me. Rented a house for a month. Visited the grocery store and the pub at the corner. I miss it a ton. Would move there in an instant if I could.

Oh, god. I had the pleasure of living in northern Oregon. I miss it so much, it was gorgeous everywhere I went.

Hanauma Bay. My favourite uncle loves that place. He taught my cousin to swim there, in the ocean water, with the fish and turtles.

We want to go back because we miss him. Mom misses him dearly. But we can’t go there while it’s crazy, and Mom’s on the decline herself. I think we don’t have a viable window to get there, but we’re hoping.

Wolf Creek Pass / Pagosa Springs, CO.

My old man was a fan of C.W. McCall, so grew up with his song about it. Randomly had a friend’s family invite me with them to a ski trip there in college. Slopes were solid (my ski experience is very limited, but my amateur ass liked them), and the hot springs were great. First time I ever saw a couple unabashedly and openly smoking a joint in public (this was before state said pot was legal).

Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto, more time in Osaka. Went 2 years ago for our honeymoon and I fell in love with Japan. Kyoto especially, sitting down by the river, drinking a high ball I bought from the Lawsons and just vibing was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!

I love Japan in general, have been a couple of times, but last time I went we stayed on the shore of lake Yamanaka one of the Fuji five lakes.

We rolled up in the evening and there was a heavy fog, you can only see 5m in front of you sort of heavy. Found where we were staying which was right on the shore but you could barely even see the lake still. It was a traditional futon on the floor type place, first impressions were alright.

The next day we woke up to a beautifully clear day, look out the window to a view of the lake with Fuji rising up behind it, it was fucking amazing! I can’t recommend the lakes enough after this experience!

The rabbit island down near Hiroshima is awesome too :D

I went to Europe when I was 11, but now that I’m an adult and have an appreciation for history I’d love to go back. Me and my fiance have talked about traveling at some point. The main destinations are Ireland and Scotland, because our families are from there

The Mojave. The desert is gorgeous, I long for getting away from the humidity, and I NEED a burger at Goodsprings.

Honestly? Cape Meares and Garibaldi. Not far from home.

Most places in my childhood and past are illegal for me to travel to in this form.

I just did this! 11 day road trip vacation back through Yellowstone and surrounding areas after going on the same trip (but only spending ~18 hours in Yellowstone) 29 years ago with my dad, uncle and his son. Had my wife and kids and my wife’s best friends’ family along.
