Because it’s mine and it’s empty now as I had to wipe my lemmy server (it never worked OK, super sluggish, the federation was skipping more and more, and the database was over 10GB).

Basically, it was a prejoritive term insulting those bad at morse code (“Ham fisted”), and it stuck around
