Word on the street is they quit lemmy.
Thanks - this is the most definitive thing I’ve seen…
This is @[email protected], for those not familiar; he moderated a number of communities and was a fairly-active poster and commenter, but hasn’t commented in three months.
Last I recall seeing from him, he’d said that he’d moved to the UK and was looking for a job. I assume that if he didn’t find a job, then he probably doesn’t want to be spending a lot of time doing volunteer work moderating communities on the Threadiverse; got higher-priority concerns. If he did find a job, then his free time may have fallen off substantially; switching countries, switching housing, and getting a new job are all things that are probably going to consume time.
And this is why I keep making new accounts before people start recognizing me.
OMG! It’s that guy who has opinions!
Fuck. Abandon ship!
Looks like they got banned from the politics sublemmy then rage quit https://lemmy.world/modlog?userId=477305
The mod log is one of the most amazing features of Lemmy and yet it’s soooo neglected it’s painful to look at.
I’m not convinced someone would rage quit over a one day ban?
If he’s anything like me, he got too ambitious on lemmyverse, then got anxiety every time he logged in because of all the different messages and mod shit to take care of, so he just stopped logging in, then got bored and created a new account where he’s not as ambitious.
