This is why I always wear a big empty backpack, ain’t no way I’m walking into a boss fight situation with full inventory preventing me to pick up spare health potions or the occasional wheel of cheese.

Was there an ammo create nearby as well?
If there is no ammo too then it’s just mid-stage.
Can you hear choral music in the background? Does it absolutely slap?
I still sometimes think about the time I was exiting my apartment building, and as I passed through the outer doors some choral music started blasting from nearby. It definitely felt like the building door was a fog gate and I was about to find a large field boss on the street.
Luckily for my low vigor and “int but i haven’t felt any spells yet” build, no boss attacked.
When I got my first phone with GPS and I think I just discovered IFTTT, I wanted to write a script that would detect via location when you walked through certain doors and do something like play the Imperial Death March. Never got around to doing it though since I keep location off.
If it’s the first one you found there’s gonna be some scripted damage and you’ll have to use it immediately as a tutorial.
