Great Scott!
If that messes with you, try this:
Here’s a video on how they made it: https://www.belaborsodi.com/vlp-terrain
Granted, I also can’t stand their art style, but you just described every piece of decorative art. The only requirement of art is for someone to say it is.
Is coil whine short-form communication?
I played all sorts of edutainment games, but I’ll give a deep cut and go with Grammar Games. I’ve never tried booting it up as an adult. I wonder if it holds up even slightly.
That cat was attempting murder. Maybe he should at least be on the lookout around that cat.
Yep. Had a roommate with a very chill parrot and the owner was clear on how to act around it because she didn’t want to be annoyed by it. It definitely knew when you were talking about it and would perk up into the conversation. Very cute, but lots of mental effort required to keep them well behaved.
In short, pets are loved ones, not playmates.
I also started using this recently and it’s very plug and play. Just open and run. It’s the only client so far that feels like I could recommend to non-geeks.
I made my own from scratch at one point. Perks of being a sound designer lol.
I was surprised by the name. They used to make really interesting hardware back in the early 2010s. Seems they’ve faded into a rebranded phone company. A bit sad, actually.
I’ve not used a case in years. I drop it regularly when I’m at home on the carpet, but outside of that, it might get dropped from hip height once a year. I’ve only ended up with a hairline crack on a single phone in 15 years of owning them.
I dunno man. I’m currently in my time-space experiencing whatever I can. Is it my “decision” to not deteriorate in a pile of my own waste? Who knows! I’ll be dead before we have an answer, and I’m not a philosopher, so I might as well be an armchair optimist in the meantime.
Just because I probably could “disprove” my theory with science, I think the concept of self and science are inherently incompatible with our current model. So until someone can disprove my experience with the world, I’ll continue “choosing” to accept it.
I have a crackpot theory that I enjoy for the sake of enjoying it. What if our “soul” or “consciousness” is the collapse of the quantum field. Our decisions moment to moment aren’t random chance, but the unspeakable thing.
Again, pure speculation, but it’s a lot more satisfying and rewarding to live by than throwing moral responsibility to the universe.
This immediately started playing in my head when I read the question.
It took me until this year to realize the port and starboard referred to what the ship was touching when docked. The left side goes to the port, the other side faces the stars.
I felt so dumb that I had completed Black Flag 3 times and never picked up on this.
I get that people don’t like them because they cause mischief, but I would love another universe where they were a lot more pet-friendly.
I drop it often on the carpet by my couch, but outside of that, a couple times a year at most. I’ve only ever had a hairline crack on one phone out of many over the years. I also don’t use a case or screen protector.
Everything Everywhere All At Once
This has me all the way from to tears of laughter to tears of joy and really made me feel for the main character. It seems too whimsical to take seriously at first, but if you let it wash over you it rewards you. it can be an incredibly powerful movie and I loved the message.
Also, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It’s a really sad breakup movie. Lots of emotion. Some of Jim Carry’s best acting.
