    The funny thing about a no rules scenario is it necessitates no people.

    Once you have more than one person you have rules, and politics. The most basic rules are simple survival mode, just like animals in the wild, don’t mess with other people unless your willing to fight and die for it.

    You stack up more rules the more you cooperate with others. Just as a way to cooperate, set norms, expected behaviors.

    I think lots of the sophomoric no rules scenarios are just power fantasies, i.e. what would they like to do if there were no consequences.

    In real life there are always consequences, even if there isn’t a central authority
