I agree this has been a major factor. During the early internet days, folks used to tell me “don’t believe everything you read on the internet”. Now those same folks believe everything they read on the internet.
Because right-wind ideologues have gotten super skilled at hoodwinking the common people into thinking they’re on their side.
Social media is our generation’s lead paint. It’s totally melted and twisted people’s brains and reasoning skills.
