minus-squarezxqwas@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·9 days agoHas that happened to you? I’ve not managed to make super heated water in the microwave.
minus-squareZiggurat@jlai.lulinkfedilinkarrow-up8arrow-down1·9 days agoYes it already happened a couple of time. It starts boiling either when pulling-out or when putting the tea inside.
minus-squareBjörn Tantau@swg-empire.delinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·9 days agoApparently you can do it by turning off the microwave as soon as it starts boiling, turning it on again and repeating until everything boils at the same time and explodes.
minus-squareRikudou_Sage@lemmings.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up0arrow-down3·9 days agoThe water continues to heat ~1 minute after microwaving stops, so I guess it could happen if you take it out very close to the boiling point.
minus-squarezxqwas@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·8 days agoThat does not sound right. Do you have a source for that claim?
minus-squareseralth@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·8 days agoYeah, his ass. If you stop adding energy then it stops getting hotter. Food keeps cooking cause the water in the food is hot and that keeps the food cooking for a bit. But it doesn’t KEEP getting hotter.
