I would say they seek attention in different ways.
Elon has shown he can gather investors to sink money into a failed venture (twitter) and skirt the law when it benifits investors (Tesla)
while Trump has shown he can be the beacon of pure capitalism, letting businesses run things their way for quarterly profit and shareholder value with little regard to long term sustainably.The dude who caused a train crash for views ranks up there
