6 years, god knows how much money spent, and the person they leaned on for all of this has been indicted for lying about it. All in the vague hope that if they turn over enough normal rocks something will appear that cable news and AM radio can use to link Joe Biden to corruption involving Ukraine - at least enough to convince the public without any burden of proof or indictments. They aired a recording of a concerned father leaving a voicemail for his son, have proven that Hunter Biden suffers from addiction and has all but completely lost control of his life, and they made sure to show pictures of his penis around Congress because that’s pretty essential to proving his father is corrupt apparently.
As absurd as all of that is, it’s kind of amazing the GOP have enjoyed so much success with this strategy. Amazing in a gross, sigh-inducing way that makes me fear for my country. But amazing nonetheless.
