Adele Khodr, regional director for the U.N.’s children’s aid organization, said that numerous reported child deaths in Gaza are “man-made, predictable and entirely preventable.”

The Biden administration has increased pressure on the Israeli government in recent days over humanitarian aid, launching an airdrop campaign in Gaza to deliver aid and stepping up statements critical of the Israeli government.

Khodr said the situation is most dire in northern Gaza, where fighting has gone on the longest and aid is less accessible. She said that about 16 percent of children showed signs of malnutrition in a study in January.

“Now, the child deaths we feared are here and are likely to rapidly increase unless the war ends and obstacles to humanitarian relief are immediately resolved,” she added.

I read things like this and I think, “Please world. None of this is a surprise - everyone outside the Israeli propaganda machine let us know this was where Gaza was headed almost immediately. I want to stop this horror show of cruelty NOW instead of listening to countries and leaders explain how compassionate they pinky swear they truly wanted to be in documentaries 10 years from now.”

Pressure? Israel didn’t even show up to ceasefire talks yesterday. Biden is airdropping because he can’t even get Bibi to drive through trucks.

This is the most pathetic show of “pressure” I’ve ever seen.

This is the most pathetic show of “pressure” I’ve ever seen.

Which is of course by design. As much as those of his loyal party soldiers who also claim to be progressive try to pretend otherwise, the politician who once bragged about going to more AIPAC events than any other in Washington hasn’t changed in the least when it comes to Israel.

He’s feebly trying to pretend otherwise, but Biden would never do anything to jeopardize his relationship with AIPAC or any other part of the Israeli government.

As if Trump would have stopped it? I don’t get why people say “genocide Joe” as if the alternative would have solved the situation
