This response is also too vague. You need to at the very least ask what kind of position OP is interviewing for.

I wasn’t trying to argue that the premise wasn’t dystopian. The point is that the US is currently in many ways even worse. Although I think the parents would be on the hook for the debt in the US, not the child.
Not from a US perspective:
These people don’t care about ethics, but scamming the billionaire is probably bad for future business. I imagine word gets around.
People rich enough to pay for black market organs don’t need to worry about health insurance.
No, the reseller installs the organ for you. When you’re that rich everything you buy comes with white glove installation included.
Rich people sometimes have bad organs and need transplants. They’re willing to pay a lot for a new one so they don’t have to wait in line with the plebs. Organ trafficking is how they achieve this.
Is it still a cover if the original artist agrees to let you adopt the song? Dylan said it’s Hendrix’ song now.
This is probably PLA, which is compostable.
Mute or disable all notifications except direct messages.
They’d definitely do that, and add some other creative charges as well.
It’s also a volume thing. By the time I reach a reddit comment thread what I wanted to say has already been said, and if I say it again my comment will drown in a sea of heavily upvoted comments. On lemmy you can be several days late to the party and still get both upvotes and responses.
Yeah, some nouns are already taken, that’s fair. Like “shafted”.
Almost forgot “jalla” or “jallamekk”, originally adopted by Norwegian military from a middle eastern word for “fast”, meaning a quick and dirty, but not particularly high quality, solution.
According to John Oliver you can use any noun, like for example “gazeboed”.
A classic! I don’t know how I forgot to mention that one, I even coincidentally explained it to someone earlier today!
I’ve found that the meaning depends on regional differences in both English and Norwegian, and as a result I never use “next Sunday”. I say “Sunday in a week and a half” or the date instead.
Waste of materials. Norwegians build air castles.
Some Norwegian politicians have completely ruined this expression, and now use it to mean “a really big favor”.
It’s almost as annoying as when Americans say they “could care less” when they mean the opposite.
It looks like you’re relying on media automounting to access the drive, but this is happening too late for Docker.
I would suggest creating the empty folder and explicitly adding the mount to
/etc/fstab
instead. This should mount early enough, and even if it doesn’t it needs an empty folder for the mount point anyway.Edit: Make sure you reference the partition by UUID, because the device name of USB devices sometimes change after a reboot.
