You both can have all of my capers, forever.
Artichoke hearts. Straight from the jar with a fork. Yum.
Pimento olives, chopped fine and mashed into cream cheese, spread on pumpernickel (bread, bagel, etc).
Capers can fuck off entirely.
It’s a lot of fun, and there are wildly different projects for different tastes. I like the transcription projects, and any fish/mollusk surveys.
iNaturalist was already mentioned.
Zooniverse is a great citizen science project.
*I see you said no campus stuff, but look at local colleges for drug studies or brain imaging studies. There’s usually some criteria they need participants to meet- diagnosed with (x) or no history of (y)- but some are quick and compensate with cash.
Chili crisp is a game changer for me. And i chop and freeze cilantro in an ice cube tray, so I have fresh cilantro to throw in at the very end. I’m going to start doing that with spring onions too, because I never use them all before they go bad.

$6.99 if i want local, $4.29 for store brand, $8.79 for Nellie’s Free Range.
If I ever won the lotto, I’d donate a big chunk to Sal. He got me through my worst classes. Him and the organic chemistry tutor on youtube, who also does lots of easy to follow math.
WHEEEK
Oh shit. The Baroque Cycle getting the Game of Thrones treatment… minus the executive meddling.
Have you read the Tuf stuff? I think that would translate well to a Scavengers Reign-esque animated series. The older I get, the more I realize that animation is the perfect medium for sci-fi adaptation.
*Not until the books, plural, and the She-Wolves of Winterfell are published. Please grrm.
For numbers 9+10:
Broccoli rabe in season is the absolute dream topping for this, but it’s so niche and hard to find.
I live in New Haven. The undisputed pizza capital of the world. If we’re getting delivery it’s a 75% chance it’s domino’s.
(Pizzeria pizza is better at the pizzeria. We go out for the nice stuff. We aren’t total monsters.)
Lots of beans have lard or pork in them.
