I blame google for the demise of well-organized folders. Their approach to email was “chuck it all in one big folder named Archive, and you can search for it using keywords that you will definitely remember when you need to find it again!”

The Jan 6th temper tantrum was instigated as a response to the BLM and other Covid-era protests. The owner class was getting nervous about the working class protesting about things that matter, so they riled up some of their disposable morons to storm the Capital as a way to discredit direct action. And we’re already seeing the effects; whether it’s a labor strike or a student sit-in, we’re told by centrists to “protest peacefully” and not inconvenience anyone, aka don’t protest.

The Mayans predicted the end of the world in 2012. Really, it was the end of the expected simulation that we’re all living in. Now that we’re past that year, stacks are overflowing and the simulation is encountering unexpected results outside the boundaries of the programmers’ intents. That’s why everything is fucked.

I usually use those two genres as they are very similar in that they were both music genres for the working class and historically underrepresented until capitalism saw the money and ruined them about the same time. And the typical audiences for each genre are often stoked into hating each other’s music, and by extension hating each other.

By that logic all music would be gone. The origin of rap would clearly be when it deviates from jazz, rock, etc. to become its own genre. Though like country music, rap was ruined when capitalism got its penis into it, so sometime after Will Smith and before Kanye.

The rich are actively trying to be yote into space. All we’re saying is redirect their rockets to ensure they don’t come home again.

I’m in agreement except for the wedding planner. Whether they help with the planning from day one or are just the day-of coordinator, a good wedding planner is worth their weight in gold. I’d rather plug an old mp3 player into a portable speaker and skip the DJ before I recommend skipping out on the planner.

My dice sets. I was going through some serious retail therapy for my depression and might have spent about $1000 on scores of dice sets (over a period of several months to a year. But I almost have enough to fill a display case with only the d20s! Not that I would, because I use them too frequently and my apartment is currently too small for the display case.

I credit my family trip to Mammoth Caves for why I love the outdoors. After a morning cave tour we hiked above ground, getting way too close to sinkholes and completely getting lost. I’m still amazed that my otherwise not outdoorsy family went along with it, and that none of us fell into the bottomless pits that we were marvelling over.

You get to pick 2? I get to pick one, and it’s never reduce stress. And the exercise is just being on my feet at work. And the sleep quality sucks. Basically I get to pick zero.

The first thing I want to do when I wake up is to go back to sleep. The second, third, and fourth through 180,000,000,000th thing I want to do is go back to sleep.

There are only three things that get me out of bed: my dog is hungry or needs to pee, my body is hungry or needs to pee, or the annoying requirement that I have to work in order to give someone all my money so I have a place to sleep.

Since I’m in the US where public transportation is next to nonexistent outside of maybe 5 cities, I (and the overwhelming majority of Americans) are cheating since we can EDC a hell of a lot of things in our cars. My pockets have 3-4 items max, but I consider my vehicle my home away from home, and if I’m away from home more than a night I pack her to the gills.

We’re already there, in a sort of way. Products aren’t built to last, aren’t built to be repaired. Buy a new phone, computer, washing machine, every year! You wouldn’t want the social embarrassment of not having the latest gadgets! And if that fails, we’ll just release a patch that prevents the irreplaceable battery from lasting a full day.

Plus after computers made it so one person could do the job of 100, entire new industries popped up to do meaningless jobs shuffling digital money around. Some of the most comfortably-paying upper-working-class jobs are entirely pointless. But it keeps educated people from questioning the system. As long as they get a cushy paycheck twice a month they’ll happily make another B2B web 3.0 cloud-based KPI tracking analytics platform and not question if their job is meaningful.
