Well, no one has ever accused the Danish of having a spine.
Well, no one has ever accused the Danish of having a spine.
I have no idea. And I’d rather not find out either. Nothing good will come from trying to find out.
If that’s how you feel, that’s how you feel. But I personally doubt Reddit as a company have lost out. They still have all the data. And they still have a massive user-base. I’m sure Spez is suffering real bad with his hundreds of millions…
Good for whom?
There’s been loads of times where I’ve looked everywhere for a solution, finally finding it on google page 10+ in an obscure reddit thread with like 10 votes and 4 comments where someone had found a weird, illogical solution to your exact problem, that actually worked.
It’s a shame it went to shit. The real losers are us, we lost a lot of knowledge.
An emergancy fm/am radio with a crank generator and solar panels.
Came in clutch when power was out, not only could I listen in on the news, I could also charge my phone.
I’d list it as unexpected because I did not expect to actually have to use it. But im really glad I had it.
Looks neat and space efficient, but I have questions about why someone keeps fruit next to the dishes.
It says each member will assist the attacked party/parties, as it deems necessary.
My interpretation of the article is that assistance is mandatory. What type of assistance is up to the member to decide

More is mentioned in this pdf if your curious. This one is in English.
I will highlight the most important part
we will never surrender. Any suggestion to the contrary is false.

It’s compulsory with a huge asterisk next to it.
If they call you in, it’s compulsory.
However, they call far from everyone, and there’s about 1001 things you can do to not get called for service if you really don’t want to.
First step is that you’re sent a form to fill out. Questions about your health and habits among other things. So. If you really don’t want to… Let’s just say they probably won’t be too interested in someone that (allegedly) smokes 1-2 pack of cigarettes a day.
Not to be confused with the Swedish concept of “Total Defense” (probably poorly translated). Should “total-defense” be called however. Everyone between 16 and 70 have to report in for war-duty. This doesn’t mean everyone is going into battle. But it means you have to be at service for the defensive effort of our nation. Could be administrative tasks, logistical, construction, anything really, depends on who you are and what your experience is. This is not something you can get out of. It’s one of your duties as a citizen
Why wouldn’t Europeans be ready to hear that? Pretty sure we’ve been hearing it on a regular basis since the 70’s
Ain’t no way you gonna put all of Europe into that statement. You do understand that each country have their own system, policies and regulatory laws?
The problem here is that what you’re saying is maybe true for a handful of countries while completely false and inaccurate for a handful of others.
We’re not one single entity. Your statement is just not accurate as a whole.
First comment is not correct either. Everyone does not fill out a form at 18.
Maybe you should stop posting things you cannot verify.
Unfortunately. Mandatory military service is critical to many countries survival. You NEED to have a population that understand the basics of how to organise a defense.
It’s the difference between being a country or being a province.
I will quote a Major in his response to why we don’t practise defense coming from the west.
“it’s possible we might be attacked from the west, but it would be a very long and strange route for the Russians to take”
Colourful image with no source. Just a bcbp logo which, wtf is that?
It’s not even accurate. At least not for Sweden. So, if they got that wrong. I will assume the rest is possibly wrong too.
Where to begin…
But I’ll touch on something no one else has here.
Shopping carts. It’s mindblowing to me that the country that sent men to the moon still hasn’t figured out that its easier for everyone if they turn on all 4 wheels rather than the 2 front ones.
That way you can slide your cart sideways to make room for other shoppers. And turning it takes no effort.
And even… even if it is some weird cost cutting thing. Why not make them turn on the rear wheels? That would still make it easier than in the front. Since you steer the cart from the rear.
Get your shit together. Put gun controll aside, put your dumb ass two party politics aside and focus on what matters. Your godawful shopping carts.
You know what also isn’t done by a significant part of the world? Eating insects. But im not gonna go and call their eating habbits weird just because it’s not something I grew up with.
It’s called being tolerant and accepting of others culture.
I do not believe in fate.
You should stop assuming things because you’re not very accurate with your assumptions.
Do you want to speculate if the rounds fired are hand loaded or factory made? Maybe this specific batch of rounds had black pepper instead of gunpowder? Maybe the hammer will break just as he’s about to shoot, what are the chances of the executioner having a stroke or an aneurysm? maybe your mom would be your dad if she had balls. And your grandma would be a bike if she had wheels.
I’m not going to debate elementary school level statistics with you. Option A and C both will give you ~33% chance of survival. But for you specifically. I’d recommend option B, for all of our sake.
For instance, in the case of 4/6, one must assume the bullets include 2 sequential empty chambers
No. One must not assume that. You are trying to make all the assumptions that benefit you. A certain bald spot somewhere. A bias in the mechanism that they know about, somehow it’s also about capitalism bla bla bla. You put a lot of effort into purposefully misunderstanding how simple statistics work.
And no. If you survive the first pull. You are LESS likely to survive the second. Not more.
It’s still the same 5/6 chance. But you having to get that chance multiple times in row makes it less likely the longer you go on. And the math will have it so after 6 times. It comes out to about ~33%
How you feel about it on a philosophical level doesn’t change the reality around you.
You can choose which ever option you feel more comfortable with. And that’s ok. But it’s not going to change how statistics work.
The previous shots do matter. Because for you to even reach the 6:th shot, all previous attempts have to be in your favor.
It’s (5/6) you’ll live each pull. But to reach pull #2 you’ll have to survive the first. To reach pull #3 you have to survive the first 2.
You’re looking at events that have to take place is a specific order. You have to multiply each pull to work out the probability of this event following one of those orders. It will come out to (5/6)^6.
(5/6) is the probability you survive. And ^6 because you have to survive it 6 times.
You’re looking at ~33% of getting empty slots 6 times in a row.
Previous attempts always have a bearing on statistics if things need to happen in a certain order.
It’s not going to happen.
Motherboard manufacturers are not going to start making Windows only BIOS.
Microsofts target audience isn’t the private user. It’s companies. The money they make selling their OS to private persons are table scraps compared to their enterprise licenses. Any such initiative would fuck over every single enterprise customer.
