But the government did an effective job to collect insane amount of police, all while jailing protest leaders and participants. Stop portraying us all as lazy naive flock, and use democratic instruments and powers you still enjoy to not let that happen in your country. This is not something with an easy way out.

Because the Rhineland was actually German and part of the German empire whereas Crimea and the Donbas do not belong to Russia but are internationally accepted as Ukrainian territory.
If only Russians had done something about Putin and his lies before he tried to annex his version of the Rhineland.
