I am not here for an endless flood of negativity and doomerism. When I see it, I block what I think is necessary. I use keyword filters, user blocks, community blocks or occasionally the entire instance.
Ironically, it was a comment on Lemmy that helped me think about it differently. (I already avoid all other social media.)
Healthy, well-adjusted people do not spend time or mental energy on negative things they cannot control, especially those which are not directly effecting them.

That’s great. It’s a modern day necessity to shield oneself from the full brunt of social media, as it can be very unhealthy.
