    Tbf setting traps in your own house is illegal in much of the US, the gun is actually more likely to be legal in a deadly force encounter.

    As dumb as that sounds, it’s (largely) because the traps are indiscriminate and would harm anyone triggering them regardless of the law, and for some reason “why are they in my goddamn house if they didn’t want to set off the grenade bouquet” isn’t a good defense. Especially if you “forget” to disable the tripwire before your mother in law’s visit.
