The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says the earthquake struck at 1:25 p.m. HST off the east coast of Kamchatka.

    3 meters doesn’t sound too bad. More than a high tide, but just under 10 feet? Shouldn’t be awful… unless it’s wrong.

    Googling the one in Thailand a few years back, that one was 30m on a 9.3 earthquake. Was a lot closer though.
