As far as I can tell those are packages someone received, right? Pretty easy to track down those morons.

Indeed, but i fear neither the employees nor the police would be particularly motivated to do that, probably.

You could however, take these boxes, fill them with junk and dump them illegally somewhere. I’m pretty sure someone will track them down to hand them a fine. Source; this happens in the Netherlands on the regular.

Please-shmease… I don’t know German, but I would write something like “Achtung, schwine! Carton verboten. Schissen”. If you’re TOO polite, they will crawl on you head and shit there.

You can send and receive parcels at any time you like without them being stolen from your doorstep, and it helps to reduce the workload of the understaffed counter.

So what, they’re just lying there and anyone can take them?

Here you either go to the till and they give you the parcel and you leave. Or there’s a lockbox which you can retrieve it and leave.

Yes, by self-service I mean an automated lockerbox. What you see in the picture is when people retrieve their parcel from the lockerbox, rip it open, and just leave the cardboard box there.

Is there really one outside? Because I know a bunch of Post Stations where they just tell you to bring it to A container. They don’t provide one at the location.
This whole problem could be nullified either
    A) by actually delivering the package and not just putting into a SB Station (because the package deliverer was too lazy) or
    B) Provide a container on the location to throw the carton in. OR
    C) Don’t have Amazon & Co ahip oversized boxes I cannot carry.
It’s shitty these people let their empty boxes here but the Post is not without some fault either
