To add context, the ads are on YouTube, I’m in North Carolina, they’ve mostly (all?) been regarding Medicare with a voiceover saying “He’s not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid” followed with him saying “None of that stuff is gonna be touched”
I can only imagine there’s some local elections or primaries that have his stink on it and some GOP candidate is trying to ‘roll down the windows’?
Because he is going to cut Medicare and Medicaid, all of that stuff is gonna get touched.
“no no no, I cut OBAMAcare”
this is the local representation hiding behind the orange dictators apron strings. they refuse to meet with their consituents to answer to their actions (or lack thereof), so theyre attempting to appeal to the hyper-maga crowd who are so brainwashed by fox news they believe this shit.
This has ALWAYS been a key feature of fascist regimes throughout history: operating as if you’re always running for election. Mussolini and Hitler both continued to hold big rallies even after they’d officially suspended voting. It’s a big part of how they keep their base engaged.
All of the above
Because he is going to run for a third term and they’re expecting to lose with the current momentum.
That or they are going to cut Medicare and then blame it on the democrats, and people will believe it because they saw the commercial.
They run TV ads in California where Kristi Noem talks about how great Trump is for deporting all of these people and how secure America is. Then pictures of CECOT prisoners arranged in little squares surrounded by guards proudly posed. It’s so odd.
Propaganda sinks in better if it’s heard years in advance instead of 3 months before the election. It’s easier to make people think other news sources are exaggerating if they’ve heard the opposite for months and months prior
Because he’s a narcissistic, egotistical, megalomaniac and loves seeing his face and hearing his own voice. The ads are not for you. They’re for him.
Because you’re not blocking ads.
Exactly. Switch to Firefox + uBlock Origin. Problem solved.
