            I didn’t speak to the colonial link to England. Keep reading, not all of India was unified on that decision, and the time period played a critical role towards independence.

            Further, operations were based out of the country, regarding other theaters of war in Asia. Are you familiar with where India and Myanmar (then Burma) are located?

            I get what your trying to do so I’ll head you off: colonialism is wrong, and India DID get dragged into the conflict. I’m not contesting that.

            All I was highlighting is conflict occurred in the area, and India was involved in several different ways.

            You’re forgetting the entire Pacific War, which had little to do with Europe. You’re forgetting Japan invading China and interrupting the civil war. You’re forgetting Japan invading every island in between them and New Guinea.

            Your comment infantilizes local groups who used the war to settle local or regional rivalries. Colonial subjects were not idiots being used. They took up sides based on their goals and historical alliances.
