I’m looking on behalf of my partner so I’m not 100% sure the podcasts they want are American but they are English for sure.
Mods are always the actual dumbest most power tripping little fuckers. (InB4 banned from this com)
Edit: This is actually just straight up racist / xenophobic the more I think about it.
Shash to search is a Vim keybind.
When servers say “just eat at home if you don’t want to tip 20%”, do they realize this is the exact same energy as “just get a real job if you can’t afford your bills”?
Generative AI making a mess when people apply no critical thinking to its outputs is really the motif of 2025.
Even if the person who made this wasn’t familiar with the Arch logo (questionable for anyone claiming to have made an OS) a simple reverse image search would have shown this logo was already taken.
Siiiiick
This is a neat idea and it will totally work, but they need to be the EXACT same files down to the checksums and file names. This could be harder to pull off than it sounds but it’s absolutely possible.
It’s not tough.
Look them in the eyes like a human being and say “sorry dude, not today”.
Alternatively just carry small amounts of cash to give to them.
Another alternative is asking them if they would like some food instead.
No matter what you do, keep in mind you are very likely a small step away from homelessness yourself.
Have they said that queer stuff is inherently NSFW? I haven’t seen that said anywhere and don’t think it’s the case.
I just checked and the “LGBT” and “LGBTQIA” flags are 100% functional right now.

Obviously if they did say that queer stuff is inherently NSFW that would be a big problem.
Itch.io just banned lgbt content at the reauest of payment providers
Do you have a source on this? Everything I have read from them so far about the news today makes this sound like a temporary problem that was out of their control.
This is a time critical moment for itch.io. The situation developed rapidly, and we had to act urgently to protect the platform’s core payment infrastructure. Unfortunately, this meant it was not realistic to provide creators with advance notice before making this change. We know this is not ideal, and we apologize for the abruptness of this change.
We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of content to ensure we can meet the requirements of our payment processors. Pages will remain deindexed as we complete our review. Once this review is complete, we will introduce new compliance measures. For NSFW pages, this will include a new step where creators must confirm that their content is allowable under the policies of the respective payment processors linked to their account.

I’m pretty confident they will get this sorted out. It doesn’t seem like they have any intention of banning nsfw content.
Edit: I’m responding here about NSFW content because I was confused. I don’t think Itch actually ever banned queer/LGBTQ content in any way. The recent drama has been over NSFW content specifically so I assumed OP was specifically taking about NSFW queer content.
Steam / Valve doesn’t care if you pirate games as long as you don’t involve their servers. This is a pretty known / accepted fact.
If you really are worried just install a different OS on steam deck and don’t use steam at all.
I don’t think I would personally really consider using windows for anything these days. Semi-ironic to be concerned about steamOS spyware when you are comparing to windows which for sure has spyware.
Piracy isn’t stealing regardless.
Stealing is to deprive someone of something they posses.
It’s not possible to possess something that doesn’t exist yet. Your copy doesn’t exist until you make it (by downloading the file).
If you chose to not support creators by paying to copy thier work, that’s maybe unethical but it’s not stealing.
If you hack into a Sony server and copy an unreleased film, then delete their copy, that is maybe stealing. Anything short of that is just copying.
