Storage costs is the biggest hurdle for decentralized video platforms. I wonder how instances will handle that.

Getting the BTS fanbase to switch platforms is huge and can essentially get you millions of users in an instant. I wish Mastodon was in the picture though.
I think you’ll be better off not standing downwind from them to get the least contaminated air from their direction. I’m not sure if short breathes will work because that will just make you inhale more often. My completely non-scienctific take would be to stand behind them and/or avoid standing downwind, then take a breath and hold it as long as you can, before slowly exhaling; then repeat the process until you can get out of there.
I handwash silicone straws because I know no amount of automatic dishwashing will clean it.
Yeah, people in cities tend to be less conservative and more open minded. The more rural, which means less light pollution, are the opposite. So I don’t think that conspiracy really holds.
On subtitles - when the person on screen literally says a word in english but the subtitles replace it with another word.
Same for me but to the US. I come from a third world country though, so any first world country was a step up. Also worth noting that I had a job waiting for me, so I was privileged in that aspect.
Not that it wasn’t a thing before, but it got way worse after the pandemic. A lot of people really forgot how to act in public after staying home for an extended period.

Hell, when I went for a test drive early this year before I got my car, the sales guy just gave me the keys and told me to bring it back in 30 mins. He just wrote my name down on a piece of paper and let me go; didn’t even ask for my license.
Travel. Hopefully I am healthy enough and have enough money to go and live in many different places.
Spam or sardines are great with egg and fried rice too.
I was thinking of getting a keypad, but I’ll definitely have a manual deadbolt along with it because I’m paranoid of it failing, so I’ll likely still be locked out either way.
Edit: I realized a deadbolt has to be locked from the outside, so maybe I won’t be locked out in that case.
Last night, when I was waiting in the car for my wife and we realized after she got in that her bag, where the house keys were, was still inside. She thought I had the bag with me in the car. Had to call a 24/7 locksmith because it was late in the evening.
Choosing a favorite is hard and it changes a lot for me. This time I’ll choose Porcupine Tree and recommend their album In Absentia.
Just switching to lemmy from reddit significantly cut down my screentime, especially with how small lemmy is right now where I can browse most of my subcriptions’ content for the day within a total of 2 hours. Nowadays, lemmy is what I do when I have downtime, not the other way around where I don’t have downtime because I’m constantly scrolling.
If lemmy is still eating up a ton of time in your day, then yes deleting your mobile apps will definitely help.
Go to eventbrite or meetup and check out all the free events in your area that are interesting to you, then just show up.
OP’s question is if the number of republicans who died from covid would affect their voting numbers, not about the quality of the people running or if the people who vote for them care.
