  • This is the UK and not the US.

Cats in europe are far, far less at risk or a risk to the environment then in the US and outdoor cats are not at all a problem.

A cat being run over is rare. Being shot, poisoned or killed by a coyote or other wildlife quite unheard of. And they don’t pose any significant thread to local wildlife.

Americans created that dangerous and deadly invironment for animals themselves. That doesn’t mean that the whole world has to lock up or leash their cats.

  • She probably has a contract. you can not just stop paying things because you don’t like it anymore, you have to follow the terms of that contract. Otherwise every payment you skipp is a debt to the other party and hey can sue you for breaking the contract and for backpay of the payments you skipped.

In your example with netflix, the contract you enter into when signing up for their service specifically states, that you can leave it monthly and Netflix lets you do that by not paying anymore.

This is part of Netflix’s concept as a service provider and doesn’t mean its the same in other services.

  • If its something that you do for your own enjoyment and fun, its totaly okay to just leave it be, if you don’t like it.

If its something that you do to better yourself, I think it’s different and you should sometimes stick with it to see an outcome. Something that might give you better job opportunities, that makes you healthier, that makes you a better person, that makes your life easier or better if you stick it.

Don’t give up on everything, because humans need to develop themselves, they need to grow and learn. If you just stop where you are and give up on any personal growth you will be unhappy with yourself and your life one day.

Think of your future self before quiting something and what that activity could do for future you.

  • And by the way. You ARE responsible and need to help cover the vet bills.

For the law alone, you damaged another person’s property.

From the moral standpoint, you insured someone’s pet, a living being. You have absolutely a moral obligation to take responsibility.

And as a parent, you have a moral obligation to teach your children to take responsibility for your actions and mistakes. Even if it cost you.
