Currently started (at least somewhat) working on a submarine simulation/strategy game. I want it to be as lightweight as possible so it runs on as much as possible. Probably a lot of 2D graphics wherever necessary but a lot of focus will be on sensors and calculations. I want it to be Dieselpunkish with a technology tree between 1910s and 1960s but without featuring real world countries or submarines and no nuclear technology. The simulation of individual ships should be in depth in a dwarf fortress kind of way and I want realistic sound propagation. I’ll try to incorporate submarine design as well.

I’m using Appel music as well and I think it’s great for the most part. It sometimes has a weird bug where it won’t play downloaded music unless you have internet though.

You use average for humans and up to for chimps? Also body weight is a far better comparison and a strong and large human can weigh at least 1.5 times more than a chimp so the strength difference isn’t great if at all present.

Humans get up to 2 m (6,75 feet) tall, of course there are even taller people but this is still a healthy size. Also chimps weigh like 70 kg max while a human can be healthy weigh more than 90 kg. The question is if we get a matched opponent in terms of strength and body weight relative to their own species.

This is a per muscle size comparison. Chimps are also significantly smaller than humans.
