  • I would highly recommend asking an accountants advice, I assume there are similar services for when you file in the UK. Finding a CPA (Chartered Accountant in the UK) is huge, they’ll generally charge more but they can represent you in the event you get audited (had to look it up and confirm it’s the same for UK). Now if you get audited, they have a vested interest in protecting you. In the US they’re often legally obligated to protect you (and themselves).

  • She gets income from two sources: as an employee (“normal” income), and as a business owner. There’s something called an owner’s draw, which essentially lets you take money from the business for personal use, and it gets taxed as personal income (i.e., normal job income taxes).

This is my loose understanding. We have a CPA for our stuff, and she sorted all this out before we even started dating.

  • I read (listened) to it for the first time last year. The audiobooks I had sounded like they were ripped from cassette, it was AWFUL.

I ended up getting the ebooks and read the first trilogy after stopping halfway through the first audiobook.

My wife loved them when they were new and had been asking me to read them for awhile, but I was kinda disappointed in them. Really interesting magic system, I just felt like the writing was too simplistic.

Also, your uncle inhabiting your body to have sex with someone was a pretty wild thing to read.

  • Random, but I got my first tattoo on the inside of my forearm and my wife loves it because she can see it while I drive. I got it before I even met her, but it worked out in my favor lol.

Definitely pick a spot based on the tattoo you want. Mine fit best horizontally because it’s clipped from a Calvin & Hobbes panel. Like others have mentioned, if you’re shy about having one, consider something easily covered vs somewhere less painful.
