I’d have liked Hulu a lot more if it weren’t geo-restricted to the US.

Is that why placebos work? I could swear they had done studies that show that placebos can be as effective as medication under certain conditions, all other things being equal. Maybe not as effective as medication, but more effective than non-treatment.
I can understand not leaving a tip if you don’t have the housekeepers clean during your stay. But if you have them service your room daily during your stay, you should tip them.

I missed out on a lifetime pass when it was on sale for $25. I told myself I would pick it up next time it went on sale for that price, but then it never went below $50. Now I’m kinda thankful that it didn’t.
It’s interesting because inside the US, this is a totally valid opinion to hold. Outside the US, many people end up having to pay per message, but can use data for free via WiFi, so it makes more sense that these apps are popular there.
Is this an old person trait? Consider me a curmudgeon then.

Sure, but have you considered that this would loosen the hold capitalism has on the wage slaves? Won’t someone think of the shareholders‽

With adequate funding. That’s the part that always gets omitted. We haven’t been funding the research to make it happen.

Wasn’t that Mother 2 (AKA Earthbound)?
Either way, taking the “Mother” name a bit literally.

If they wanted to minimize color/printing costs, they wouldn’t color the whole box black.

Well, what did you expect?

Often enough, their viewpoints have been discredited already. To me, it’s rarely worth the effort of disputing bunk information if it’s clearly wrong and the person writing it is not engaging in good faith. I know some people enjoy debating, but I prefer to save my sanity most of the time.

Because there’s no use engaging with someone who is not willing to consider new information or alternative viewpoints. Those people have an agenda to push and often come off as hostile or rude. Much better to just downvote and move on.

I hope this backfires on these companies and they lose support. I know I won’t be buying any of their products.

TMNT and GI Joe.
Actually, I can’t recall if those were Saturday morning cartoons or daily ones.

Ok, I’ll bite. Can you give me your definition of a cult? And then a positive and a negative example?
Always been a fan of raunchy comedies. Superbad is probably my favorite as it reminds me of my high school days, but others like 40-Year-Old Virgin, Euro Trip, and Step Brothers are also high up on the list.
