  • I’d suggest broadening your scope.

There’s lots of nerdy ladies out there, but you’re most likely to meet people at conventions and other hobby events. If you’re near NYC that will likely be where to go for that stuff.

You could also explore online forums and support groups on discord. But please understand that these places are not intended for you to seek out women but to meet like minded individuals. Continue to respect the community and people’s boundaries.

You could further your education and try to meet people at college.

  • Use what you enjoy. It’s a shame that someone needed to fork the project to support something that would be so beneficial.

But this line ‘No warranties or guarantees of security or updates or even stability!’ personally would keep myself from using it.

Browsers play a critical role in the security of your device and I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting a hobby project assume that role.

That being said, it’s a common occurrence for forks to lag behind in security updates and ultimately your prerogative to accept that risk.

  • Avoiding spam filters and ISP blocks are a common issue with self hosted email.

Ideally you’ll have a mature domain, dkim configured and an IP that’s not blacklisted on a network that allows email traffic.

OVH offers pretty cheap email hosting if you just want a turn key solution.

Otherwise if you want your home lab to work this way you may need to configure something akin to a forward proxy on a VPS to act as a gateway for your homelab.

This could be achieved using wireguard and iptables. By routing the email traffic to your homelab.
