Surely a chicken egg is an egg laid by a chicken though, not an egg containing a chicken, otherwise unfertilised eggs wouldn’t be chicken eggs.

If the mutation occurs in the creature inside the egg, then it makes sense to me that that’s where the new species begins. The chicken came first 🤔

A few years ago, I went to a cafe for breakfast, quite regularly. One morning I decided to try their cooked breakfast, quite similar to a Full English. I’m not a fan of sausages, especially cheap ones, so I didn’t think anything of it when I didn’t like the taste.

Over the rest of the day and the next morning, I ate a few different meals, but nothing unusual for me. By about lunch time I was feeling very rough. I was hot and sweaty, and needed the bathroom more often than usual. Now, I have a chronic illness, and between that and the meds, I get upset stomachs fairly often, to the point where I know if it’s serious or not just from experience.

I was starting to feel weak and dizzy, so I knew that it wasn’t normal, and then liquid fire started coming out of both ends. Luckily, my wife was home, and realised that I wasn’t joking about this time being worse, and called my doctor. I ended up in hospital for several days with severe food poisoning, and had to have IV fluids.

Environmental Health were called and quizzed me about everything I’d eaten in the last week, and agreed that it was probably the sausage on my breakfast. They investigated the café, but found no serious problems. Luckily, it looked like whatever was wrong with the sausage only affected me because of my health issues, and didn’t seriously affect anyone else.

I haven’t been back to that café though, just in case.

It was an air fryer for me.

I’m disabled, so I’m usually home alone, or cooking one meal for me and my kid. The oven takes about 10 minutes to preheat, and most things take 20 - 30 minutes to cook after that. The air fryer takes about half the time and doesn’t need me to turn things.

On top of that, I get memory issues, probably related to ADHD, and sometimes forget that I’ve got something cooking. The air fryer has a timer and switches itself off. I literally can’t burn the food and risk a fire. At worst it goes cold again 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m in my mid 40s, and didn’t have a mobile until I was about 19 or 20, and smart phones didn’t become popular until I was probably in my mid 20s. They just weren’t a part of my formative years.

My boring choices would be Chinese takeaway and fresh KFC. The Chinese takeaway near me is delicious, and does great portions, but you’re looking at at least £10 to £15 per person if you’re not sharing. It’s not a massive amount of money, but if you want to try a few dishes, it quickly racks up the cost.

The KFC is bog standard, but it’s just far enough away that the food cools down by the time it gets to my house. This is more of a more money equals more time situation, so I’d have more time to go to the restaurant and eat it right there while it’s hot.

A few people mentioned beef jerky. I’d like to try some of the different types and flavours. I’ve only really seen the one brand here, and they sell Teriyaki and spicy. Spicy just means that they’ve dumped enough spice on it to mask any other taste. I’d like to see what the other options are like.

Same with some of the other suggestions here, like swordfish. I’d love to try some of the more unusual foods, without going down the gimmicky route and eating things like rotten fish, or live octopus.

You’re lucky that you live close enough, or that you’re not popping in on your dinner break, or on your way between jobs, and don’t have time to nip home to pick up your ID.

Your lucky that you’re not elderly or disabled and struggling to get to the polling station at all, never mind having the opportunity to get there and back easily.

It’s more likely that the streaming setup is having the same problem as you - it can’t find a stream. It checks a load of torrents at once, but if there’s no torrent for what you’re looking for, it’s not going to find them either.
