USB floppy drives are pretty easy to buy online now. I bought one from either Amazon or Ali Express a little while ago, and it works perfectly :)
Ken. I don’t get out much.
‘YOU! You know what you did! Make it right!’
Then sit back and look at all the guilty faces.
Non Binary, or NB
The Rumjacks. Irish punk / rock / folk and very good.
The original singer had some issues, and was replaced by another singer with a great voice :)
Funnily enough, I always remember it wrong 🙈
EDIT:Bugger, it’s 5. I can’t remember 6 and 10 in German 🙈
For a white guy
You make a trade with someone from the actors guild.
Banana for scale.
Do you have individual switches for each plug socket / outlet wired next to the door? That seems like it would take a lot of wiring, and need a lot of switches.
The room I’m currently in has six double sockets spread out around the room. They each have one switch per socket like in the post’s image. If they were wired back to the door, they would need a lot more wiring, and one of the two entrance doors would have to be chosen. You’d then have to walk to that door every time you wanted to turn something off.
It seems like a lot more work for no real benefit.
I just tried installing Signal now and it’s asking for a phone number with no way to skip
If we’re being pedantic, in The Matrix, Neo says ‘I know kung fu’ to explain that he both knows what all the moves are, and how to use them. As that was the topic of the post, I used the same sentence structure to mean the same thing about all languages, including programming 😉
If I could ‘cheat’ and say ‘I know every language in the world’, and that included programming languages and things like scientific notation as a language, I’d take that in a heartbeat. If not, I’d take programming, as at least then I can create things and make money.
If speaking every language included dead and forgotten languages too though, then it would be a very tough choice.
Hasn’t qBittorrent got an indexer column? I’m not home to check, but I’m sure I’ve got that set up
I’ve found the file in one of my backups. It’s a Windows batch file, so you’d need to save it as a .bat file. The contents are:
@echo off
for %%a in (.) do (
md “%%~na” 2>nul
move “%%a” “%%~na”
)
but, I searched online first, and a lot of people now are saying to use FileBot instead, as it gives you more options:
If your movies are just in one big folder, there’s a Windows batch file out there called file2folder.bat
I used to have a copy, and it just takes the name of every file, creates a folder with the same name, and puts the file into it. Instead of something like c:\movies\batman.mp4 for example, you end up with c:\movies\batman\batman.mp4 which is something that Radarr can work with.
You’ll probably still need to do some tidying up and matching, but from what I remember, it’s a lot easier :)
Surely a chicken egg is an egg laid by a chicken though, not an egg containing a chicken, otherwise unfertilised eggs wouldn’t be chicken eggs.
If the mutation occurs in the creature inside the egg, then it makes sense to me that that’s where the new species begins. The chicken came first 🤔
I’m going to stop saying chicken and egg now, it’s getting ridiculous… 😁
Thank you 🙂
Immich on its own looks good, but if I set it up, I think I’ll definitely install lightGallery to go with it 🙂
About 20 years ago, I lived in a shared house in the city. I worked nights, so if I left a download running when I went to bed, it would affect the others in the house. I saw a post online where someone was giving away a cable modem, and not knowing much about how they worked, I had an idea that I wanted to try.
The cable internet came into the house through a coax cable, rather than the phone line, and was split with a dumb splitter between the router and the TV. I used a spare splitter to run a cable to my room and plugged my modem in.
I tried it first on my day off so that I could check with my housemates if it caused any problems. It connected and everything worked with no issues, except that it only connected at about dial up speeds. We were going out for the night so I left it connected with some downloads running to see if it would stay connected. When we got home, the downloads that should have taken a few days were done. A speed test showed that I was getting around 35Mbps, when the fastest speed we could pay for was 4Mbps.
We later found out that apparently the street was sharing a connection (to the cabinet I think, it’s been a while), and because my modem wasn’t registered, it was just getting whatever was left over. At night, when everyone was in bed and their devices were off, it was going a lot faster. It didn’t last long, only a few months, but we took advantage of it while we could :)
