I got my fiancee a gold cat bell instead of a ring. Granted it was a bit pricey but it has special meaning to us and it was definitely not worth cars amount of money like some people spend.

Dude, it’s not even just people who pirate might go and watch something. They’re more likely to buy merch which they make more money off of. I’ve bought plenty of merch for stuff I pirate.

That and I think there’s a fair bit of eliticism as well. Everyone is always trying to one up each other and since you can only go so expensive with the beans and equipment the next step is to be pretencious with the prep.

I was literally talking about this with my fiancee and I agree with you. The Borderlands movie should have been Borderlands 4 and been a direct continuation of the games, then the next game is just borderlands 5.

It would have been on theme for the franchise.

The amount of money the husband is asking for isn’t all that much, pennies to them and in the greater scheme of things this is a nothing suit to them, low stakes. Since it’s low stakes they’re trying this tactic first to see if it’ll stick and create that dangerous precedent. I don’t suspect it’ll go through but with all these right wing pro capitalist judges it might, and it’s worth trying for them since it’s such a low stakes suit.

And they could also import from neighboring states while their in house stuff grows depending on the laws.

I can guarantee that’s one of the cities in the US that has anti nuke defenses. The US has a tone of those. I haven’t checked but I also bet nobody is allowed to just randomly fly over the city or else they get shot down, and anybody who hijacks a passanger plane that does have clearance to fly over wouldn’t be able to smuggle a nuke onto it anyways.

That reminds me. My favorite memory of my last trip was missing the last train and walking 25 minutes at midnight crossing bridges and walking by a river while we experience the nice cool air and melancholy streets of Japan. Definitely a vibe.

So it’s been sort of a joke that my current fiancee and my ex both didn’t want me to lose weight because they think I look hot chubby. Both have said that they would leave me if I ever did get skinny. As a joke of course, so I assume this is a joke too.

It does say meal prep, maybe he adds the sauce the day he’s gonna eat it. Otherwise it might get extra soggy just sitting there absorbing the sauce. He could also keep various proteins prepped in other containers and he cna just mix and match based on what he’s feeling.

Just look at it as wear and tear. Doesn’t matter how miniscule it may be it’s still eating up your storage and battery life in addition to battery charge. Sure you could charge at work too for battery charge but as miniscule as it is it’s still killing your battery life.

Also, don’t give corporations any leeway because they WILL take advantage of the employee given the chance. For every single rule and regulation that helps the employee someone had to spill blood to achieve it.

I’m with you brother. I actually enjoy my job and my bosses are decent, they never micromanage or get in my way. Ill still take ‘sick’ mental health days off every 2 months or so just so they’re reminded how much of a pain in the ass it is without me here. I also take all my vacation time but it’s usually in one go for extended vacations. Gotta make sure they’re reminded every couple months though.

Lul I’ve had to enlighten people on that last point of yours. Me not dressing punk doesn’t mean I’m not, it just means you won’t see it coming when I throw a brick through your window cause I look normal in khaki shorts.

Might be a bit dramatic. All sectors of industry are using more and more tech, we have more people in the workforce now that are tech literate than we did decades ago.

These are random numbers to explain my point. Look at it this way, in the 90s maybe 20 percent of people knew how to use computers but 12 percent of those were truly tech savvy and knew the ins and out of using a pc.

Now a days 90 percent of people know how to use a pc (regardless of the form it presents itself, be it pc, phone, tablet, etc) but only like 30 percent of them might be truly tech savvy.

It’s still a step up from back then, and because of the nature of tech in industry there’s always gonna be plenty of people who know how to use pcs well and if there aren’t then that’s just more money for us who do know.

I don’t usually mind the low quality stuff but it irks me when the art is absolutely amazing and adds to the panels only to get butchered by cheapskate companies adapting it terribly. It’s a tragedy for junji ito cause those ten hours of etching the shadows in any given page do actually matter to add to the horror and the feeling of wrongness. Only to be spit on by shit executives not giving a fuck and just having the animators use a fucking paint bucket to shadow.

Look at this image. The right side is a demon who you wouldn’t wanna meet and the left is just a granny with bad ache.

The biggest tragedy of the anime vs the Manga is the art. Boichii is fucking world renowned for how he draws anatomy and it’s a huge focal point in his works and they just missed the whole mark there. Reminds me of how they fucked up junji itos works too. If anyone is interested in actual good low budget animations check out komicant communicate, they do so much with so little that you don’t realize it’s lower budget.
