  • I can respect that. I was once where you are and one day I just decided I couldn’t justify it anymore. Now I only eat sticks and moss.

But if you wanna try making some vegan food my advice is just don’t overthink it, make some pasta and just pan fry some veggies you like and mix 'em through with some olive oil. It’s always a tasty time.

  • That part I understand, no more formaldehyde and brains in the milk. It’s more the industry fighting against the term being used for alternative milks which should have their own standards associated with them. Coconut milk and cream have existed for ages and nobody cares. But my (dairy farmer) family all of a sudden have really strong opinions on using the term milk for alternative milks. Or other generic terms being used for vegan products like mince, sausage, burger, steak. All of these things typically have a word in front to describe what they’re made of, but for some reason certain people get real worked up when that word is ‘vegetable’.

  • I could be wrong but I thought this was also how UBI would be implemented? It would just be a safety net for those without employment?

Edit: I just googled it and I am indeed wrong. What I was thinking of is called a guaranteed minimum income. That makes a bit more sense to me than a UBI, but if it wasn’t apparent I’m obviously not well read on the topics.
