The bigger issue is the psychological trauma of the abuse of siblings or parents/older relatives.

Alright, I’ll bite. I actually swing by the rotten tomatoes for a quick half hearted glance to see if even THEY thought it was trash. If it’s trash to them on both of their metrics, I’ll probably mark it lower on my watch list. If it’s mediocre or higher I’ll go in with no expectation of greatness but at least knowing it may be somewhat entertaining.
I was reading the books religiously through middle and high school, as the movies were coming out… but, the movies finally caught up with the books for me, for some reason I didn’t get around to reading the last one before the movie. Anyway, I’ve NEVER gotten back to it. I’ve tried, but the magic is gone. The author is outspokenly uninclusive while her books, the original world she built, is all about inclusivity. I can’t fathom how separate and different her works are from her blatant bigotry. Fucking. What.
Harry Potter was the worst culprit for a lot of these. The author was just writing a fun story that she threw together wildly. She didn’t care about consistency in magic… which is the UNDERLYING PREMISE OF THE ENTIRE STORY. But, cool it’s a Coming Of Age story with a mix of the Hero’s Journey in there, and a few odds and ends from other stories and mediums. There’s enough fun to suspend disbelief… but, upon further inspection you wish you just hadn’t inspected further.
I have one of those dumb pornstaches, it’s ridiculous. But, the industry I work in is very specific about allowed facial hair. And I’m bald, so… doubly bad. But, idgaf. I’m in my thirties, most of the people I work with are in their twenties. I only don’t shave it because it’s a pain in the ass Monday morning to shave it after a weekend of not. It’s course and sensitive AF. And I HATE having to buy new disposable razor heads.
If only they’d just get with the times and permit beards… 12 more years of this shit, maybe it’ll happen while I’m still here.
Like everyone else said, consult a doctor. But, it could also be pinched nerves, which is my issue, and unrelated to blood flow and oxygen in your limb. So, if you’re getting it checked out, don’t be surprised if it comes back to that. Now, I only started having the issue in that arm after I got mauled in that hand, but I could just be getting old, too.
Anyway, I just don’t sleep with my arm in that position anymore. I can’t remember having the problem anytime recently, either.
Edit: for those curious, and having thought about it overnight, if my wrist(s) isn’t straight when I sleep, or if my elbow is leaning a certain way on a desk chair or the car door while I’m driving it’ll go numb. Carpel tunnel stuff, they said. But, otherwise fully manageable.
