Fastenal
Idk about food but I used to work for a company that sold fastners and tools via vending machine all the time.
Honestly was in a somewhat similar situation with my best friend. They would be the one in your shoes except I’m the one with the house. We aren’t sharing a bed or having “not quite sex” but we are close enough and do enough “dating” activities togeather that most people think we’re dating and a few people still insist that what we’re doing is dating even when we both tell them that we aren’t. Your relationship is a bit closer so that will make things sting a bit more.
The answer is to just talk to them. If you are comfortable enough to sleep with eachother then you should be comfortable enough to have difficult conversations. I would personally just start out by bringing up that you want to start dating again and ,while you don’t want to kick them out, sharing a bed isn’t going to work when you want to bring someone home.
It’s going to sting for them; it did for me when my friend started dating again even when I knew us dating wasn’t going to happen. But, if they care about being your friend then, they’ll get over it; I did. Your relationship with them will change but not necissarily for the worse. Honestly I’m closer with my friend than ever. We’ve gone from being close best friends to practically being siblings. Hell, I’m closer with them than I ever was with any of my actual family. Yes we both date other people but that doesn’t mean we both don’t still share everything. Don’t try to put the relationship in a box. Be open and honest then just see how it grows/changes. At the same time, every relationship has boundries, don’t be afraid to set some.
Weird, I know people can be alergic to basically anything but I’ve neaver heard about those alergies. Are we talking about alergies as in full blown anaphylaxis or an alergies as in severe gastric distress?
We used to have one in my area but they stoped doing it a while back I’m assuming just because it wasn’t making anyone any money. Can’t just do something solely for the public good after all.
Not even 30 and I feel ancient right now.
I’m personally in a small 3 bed 2 bath single family house in MN. The place looks like a crack den on the outside but the inside is cozy enough. It’s not even rural, it’s technically in a “minor metropolitan area” (aprox 70,000 population).
I pay about $950 per month for mortgage, taxes, and insurance. (It’s all in escrow so IDK what they are individually off the top of my head). I pay about $120 per moth for 100GB down 20Gb up internet. I pay on average about $200 per month for electricity (more in summer less in winter). My water and trash are a basically just a rounding error alongside the rest (less than $100 per month combined).
As far as unexpected expenses go, the big ones are furnace and water heater. I had an emergency furnace repair last winter and that put me back like $500 despite the issue just being a bad gas valve and him having to do all of 5 minutes of troubleshooting because I had identified the exact issue prior to the tech showing up. If you can do your own work then you can mitigate these costs quite a bit but generally you’re best off having like $5,000 laying around in case of any emergency issues not covered by insurance.
When it comes to more rural my dad lives not far from me and he has a well and septic tank. Both are nearly 2 decades old and have not needed any maintenance other than getting the septic tank pumped every few years which costs about $300. Well expenses are just maintenance costs (like I said his hasn’t needed any in nearly 20 years) and the electricity cost for pumping the water which is negligible. Regular water testing is also generally recommended but generally speaking if the water starts out fine then it will stay fine unless something major happens in the area. He only heats his garrage via oil but it’s really not too much different from other methods. Generally you will pay a company that fills your tank at regular intervals and they’ll just bill you for how much they have to put in. So it winds up being much larger payments but you also only make them once or twice per year.
I have some relatives who are really out in the boonies and their internet is really garbage but they could also probably get better internet via satellite and I’m not sure how that works. If you’re really remote like that you will also want things setup like backup generators and you will need to know how to do your own emergency maintenance because sometimes you just can’t make emergency service calls. You also need equipment to manage your land, most of those relatives have at least a tractor with a bucket and blade attachment. You will also need a vehicle that can handle unmaintained roads especially in areas that get heavy snowfall.
In most factories and warehouses they generally don’t give a damn what you wear as long as it covers the important bits and it isn’t a safety issue. I have a friend that literally just works in her sports bra on hot days at her warehouse job and nobody cares. Odds are they will also pay much better than retail too. Of course depending on the environment there may be special considerations like steel toe shoes or such. But steel toes are alt fashion anyways.
That is the dumbest thing. All of my comp sci stuff was open everything because out in the real world you would never be programming without those resources available. I don’t see why IT wouldn’t be the same. If they are testing your competency then you should have access to the internet just like you would in a job. If they are testing your memory then they should just use a lockdown browser or something.
Fun fact, those refrigerents can be (and are required to be) reclaimed and sold to recyclers. Old refrigerants that can no longer be legaly produced are actually worth an absurd amount of money when reclaimed because they can still be used but because they can’t legally be manufactured or imported the only source for them is stuff reclaimed out of other systems. Companies will pay absurd amounts of money to not have to refit their refrigeration systems to work with new refrigerants.
So if you have an old appliance still full of something like R-12 or R-22 then you have a gold mine to someone with the right equipment and certifications.
When people talk about “christians” they always fail to realize that there are hundreds of different denominations. Some are going to be psycho snake swingers or ultra regressive loons. Others are just regular people who believe in god. People always focus on the crazies because the crazies are the ones standing around screeching.
But there are plenty of denominations that are left leaning as fuck because, guess what, Jesus as described in the bible was a socialist hippy who hung out with sex workers, leppers, and other social outcasts. For example the church I always went to was pro same sex marriage as far back as 2005, so long before it was legal in most states (I just don’t remember it comming up before that).
So some ultra regressives (like the person who made those comics) are anti-education because they’re against anything that doesn’t promote their worldview. But I’d say the vast majority of christians aren’t like that at all.
My type.
The testicles?
It’s not a HIPPA violation if you’re a minor and the information is being released to your parents. In fact, I’m pretty sure they’re required to disclose any and all information to your parents unpon request. Minors have no rights to privacy against their parents at least in the US.
I think you a word.
Seriously. I bought some dirt cheap full grain leather biker boots 3 years ago; I have given them exactly 0 care, abused the snot our of them daily, and they are still holding up strong. These weren’t even boots meant for working and they still survived trudging through the various slops of all 4 minnesotan seasons for 3 years.
As long as you are buying actual leather and not “genuine leather” then whatever you buy should easily last several years even if not cared for. Well cared for leather goods can last decades.
Is it on a nsfw instance? I have those blocked on my main so their history is just blank for me.
I’m assuming that this is a joke but just in case it isn’t you need to stop. If you’re seen doing this then you will be labeled a sex offender as you should be. Noone consented to being involved in your fetish. Noone is going to be aroused or stop and help. They are going to call the cops and you are going to get arested.
Just to repeat it, do not ever subject anyone to sexual acts without prior explicit consent. Go get therapy now.
Hot.
I was a refrigeration tech in a place that made high end refrigeration equipment. Fun fact, when some refrigerants get too hot, they break down into hydrogen flouride which forms hydroflouric acid when it comes in contact with water, such as the water in your respriatory tract. Acids taste and smell sour. Being that I normally worked with brand new equipment, I had never dealt with burned refrigerant before. This resulted in me wondering why the hell the refrigerant in an RMA machine had a sour smell when purged the lines on my manifold. Like the dumbass I am I wound up smelling a fair bit of that refrigerant trying to identify why it smelled sour before it finally occured to me that I had been practically snorting hydrogen flouride. One hospital trip, a few chest xrays, and an ECG later I wound up being fine. The next day I came back to work to find that my smartass boss had put a bag of sour candy on my desk.
