My job does not involve any movement at all. So 8 hours a day I’m just sitting down.
I try to incorporate an hour to the gym a day. Jogging and running is pretty hard and I cannot do more than 30 seconds. But I am trying.
2023 was a bad year for me. Countless respiratory infections really took a toll on me.
I stopped caring about my health and exercise 12 years ago. It was a mistake.
I’m now 40 and it’s hard to go back to it. I am trying but the body isn’t as it used to be.
That’s actually a great one.
This site used to be my go to for news and technology updates.
I consider it to be the front page of all front pages.
Never tried the fallback option.
DDG has been working fine for me. But I am inclined to use Google search in a separate container in Firefox.
I get my searched done 90% through DuckDuckGo.
Unfortunately for much more specific searches, Google still gets those results better than DDG.
Syncthing.
Amazing that you could sync your android phone’s data to a PC locally. No cloud drive needed.
I still remember that day when they used excel sheets to record who was COVID positive. They thought they won’t have more than 65000 cases ಠᴗಠ
Air fryer. Honestly, this thing just makes cooking easier. I don’t need to stand in front of the oven or grill to make something. Just bung stuff in and come back in 15 mins.

While it’s true that hot air rises, causing lower temperatures at higher altitudes, the reason it’s colder on top of mountains is due to the decrease in air pressure with altitude. As air pressure decreases, so does the temperature, leading to colder conditions at higher elevations. Additionally, factors such as exposure to winds and proximity to polar regions can further contribute to colder temperatures on mountain peaks.

Young enough to do whatever I want but old enough to be taken seriously.
Why not promote matrix as a substitute?
I don’t usually use social media apps at all. But lemmy to me reminds of old school forums. A few people interested in a subject keep that section of the forum alive.
A instance that isn’t geared towards something specific like piracy or development.
Was looking for something similar to Reddit where links can be shared and voted. I also wanted a more general instance hence why I’m on lemmy world.
Came to mention this channel exactly.
