For audio, take to a local thrift store or Facebook marketplace or whatever platform is the most used locally and mix and match your own receiver + speaker set. A decent receiver can be found around €50, speakers can be even cheaper. Most modern speakers of some size are decent enough, bought some second hand Jamo tower speakers for 50 for the set(2) as well. Smaller bookcase speakers with minimum 4 inch (if you don’t go for a seperate subwoofer) speakers can be found for €20. You need some oomph in the lower end to get some extra cinema points. Stereo sets are fine, 5.1 is fun but I’d rather have amazing stereo then ok 5.1 , you know?

For beamers, I’d look for a secondhand beamer that was used in business setting.

A clean white wall is cheap en convenient beaming surface, but a good screen will help increase brightness which can often be the most tricky part about beaming at home. But harder to do secondhand.

Sidenote, I almost never save the boxes of stuff I buy, but the tv box gets special treatment in the attic, because in the box it’s very transportable, but without it, I agree, it’s a big hassle.

I am blessed with a full, thick, luscious dark blonde coupe, but everyone around being so negative about hairpieces made me think about them a lot… Following that, I have come to peace with the fact that I might go bald, and I might not like it, and rando hairpiece-haters around me won’t stop me from going all 18th century on my new hairpiece.

My first own house was in the middle of a lot of cultures that are different from my own, and man did those folks LOVE changing their hair every few days, with pieces or otherwise. Every second shop was selling surrogate hair, and it looked very cool. I think that part of those cultures is fucking rad, and it inspired me to pre-emptively accept my own future toupee, if it ever comes to that.

Man, I loved the google docs realtime collab functionality, they pretty much nailed it day 1 in my eyes. It’s so easy. If your project works/takes off it should be a lot more straightforward for FOSS projects to incorporate it. Hype!

I was immediately wondering why you wouldn’t hop on projects already out there. For example: I recently ditched google Keep // Trello for Joplin, which i think already ticks alot of your boxes, even Async collab should work (but not realtime, and you’d have to manually resolve conflicts). Maybe adding better collab in Joplin is a more efficient way to spend your time? LibreOffice also has Async collab, since I think about 6 months, so while it might be young, it will grow, and might also benefit from another person putting their time towards it.

Whatever you choose to do, I’ll be super interested to see the results.

I don’t think life is ‘less pointless’ if you procreate. It’s both very pointless, except for personal fulfilment. What should it matter if you follow a path that evolution laid out before you. With consciousness, there is no more reason to consider that path in my eyes, just do what feels right.

If capitalism was not so psychotic, inhumane and bloodthirsty, I might agree. In the current world market? If you are worth more then double/triple what your average local family house is worth, I will probably hate their personality and what they stand for.

You can beat Noita 😅? Hahahaha, it’s so brutally difficult. Still enjoy it a lot though. I got to phase 2 of the boss fight in FTL on normal with the default ship. It was a massacre. Great soundtrack to die to.

Reading (good) programming documentation is half the battle, or maybe 3/4ths, hahaha! I also remember when someone took the time to go in depth with the debugger and increased my programming efficiency by about 75%, good times, wow! Now I can only write code at 225% efficiency 🤣.
