There’s a well established tradition of hand-me-down furniture being put out in alleys in East Vancouver. When you move and have no furniture, you can just tour the alleys and come away with a coffee table and a sofa or a couple of chairs. Did it a few times. I loose weight by eating 2 big meals a day. My go to seems to be frozen pizza (1000 cal each) and and curries (500-600 for curry, another 200 for my naan in butter). I eat 1600-1800 calories a day and feel like a glutton while my scale keeps going in the right direction. 50lbs down so far.

Here in BC, wine is one of our biggest industries. Winter killed off 99% of our vines. They have been given money to replant and survive, but we might be looking at the end of a major industry if these cold snaps are going to be an annual thing. And it’s not like you can just replant and go on as normal, this will take multiple growing seasons to recover. These are some of the best spots for summer seasonal work and a big part of BC tourism, it could all evaporate.

She has outright said she feels justified on being a bigot because people keep making her richer, “allies” included. Yeah, there are some glaring issues with account and content deletion. Lemmy too, for that matter. If I delete something, I don’t want it to be just slightly obscured and easily recovered, I want it to be erased, unseeable forever. I still game but I feel this. I haven’t bought a AAA game in a long time. It’s all fewer and fewer features and details wrapped in shiny graphics using copypasta code from 20 years ago. All the big studios got bought by entities whose only concern is driving up share value, run by people who don’t even play games. Capitalism ruins everything.
Waking up with anxiety after 3-5 hours of sleep is because you are building up cortisol (stress hormone) levels while you sleep to the point where they wake you up. See a counselor and a doctor. You need both of you want lasting improvements. I have a rather severe anxiety disorder, waking up anxious in the middle of the night was once a nightly ritual, now it’s pretty rare, only when something particularly anxiety inducing is going on.
