Ngl sounds good to me. I like it cold and dark. Did I mention I’m a mole?

Wanna swap? I’ll come enjoy the snow, you can come to the UK and enjoy the, uh, rain.
Just a few more RPG books. A few more, and then maybe I’ll actually start playing an RPG? Maybe. But anyway, I could download a few more first…
Newer laser can work on lighter hair, still less effective but possible nowadays.
Oh, true, I didn’t look too close.
The “puzzle” isn’t the test, the test uses your browser history, mouse activity, etc to identify you as human (or not). The puzzle is used to generate training data for ML models.
This falls into a common trap. Because we cannot succinctly define a salad in one sentence we decide that it cannot be defined at all. This argument effectively reducto ad absurdums itself by coming to the conclusion that all foods are salad.
If we start from a position where we discount nothing from being a salad, and we have only salads (and soup, seemingly) to base our analysis on, how can we ever identify the boundaries of salad? The whole argument is based on the flawed premise that anything could be a salad.
I realise that I am thinking too hard about this.
Man, sounds like regular dating all over again
It’s an interesting idea. A simulated version of me dates simulated versions of everyone else, and then tells me which ones were any good… It would save the hassle, for sure. Could reintroduce some honesty into hookups, too, less dancing around trying to figure out if that’s what you’re both after.
I’m not at all convinced that any company can convincingly simulate my personality though… and there are too many layers of abstraction here, do I really trust that the AI simulated opinions of the AI simulated version of the person thst only had a simulated conversation with simulated me is really going to reflect the real situation? I doubt it.
Well I’m not surprised to see that Neom is going wrong in both stupid and horrifying ways. This particular part will make it hard to be too smug about it with the Saudi fanboys though… This is just sad.
Even if this was true, what’s funny to me is that it would only be noteworthy if it was a mistake. If sovcit nonsense actually worked then… Why would anyone feel the need to share that it worked that one random time? It would only ever be interesting if it was an anomaly.
I mean going vegetarian or vegan by definition reduces your options.
That said, there are lots of delicious slow cooked vegan foods. Despite what the other commenter says, there certainly are flavours & textures available that are not easily accessed on the hob, even eating plant based.
Yeah, I was freaked out when I saw I had a low credit score (because I never used credit) when I was looking at buying a house… Dozens of articles online about it, how to increase it and whatever… But then the bank just gave me a mortgage anyway. Didn’t make any difference. At least here in the UK the actual “score” doesn’t really matter unless you have missed payments.
Well, what does Christmas inspire today? Is it really a festival celebrating the birth of Jesus, or is it a festival of consumerism and greed? I’d say the old goat’s onto something here.
Texas isn’t a county, though, is it? US states are more analogous to countries than counties. My example is both in one country (the UK) and passing through 2 (England and Scotland) at the same time! I was really just being silly because the UK is so small but it takes so long to get anywhere.
But yah, America is big.
I was once sat at a pub by a canal on a pretty perfect summer afternoon. It was glorious weather, so all the outside tables were packed. Someone appeared opposite the pub, on the other side of the canal with an amplifier on wheels and a microphone. They set up and started speaking… But there was just a touch of wind, and they were on the other side of the canal… So other than the fact that they were probably talking about Jesus we couldn’t make out what they were saying at all. An awkward sermon for all involved.
If you remove the oligarchs, bankers, and tech bros, London is about 50% these people.
Which came first, the song or the man?
We have a guy who rides really slowly around on a bike in bizarre, seasonally inappropriate outfits. Like, a leopard print loincloth, crop top, and something resembling a turban in February.
