They post several times a day, but there are clearly sleeping breaks every day. Do you have any examples of them not sleeping?

Yeah, they make an effort to bring content to the fediverse. You should try it, instead of just shitting on the hard work of others.

Stamets has been on here, for multiple years across multiple accounts. He’s made and moderated a decent amount of communities. He’s active in the “side communities” like instance related matrix chats. His pedigree is proven.

He’s also had some pretty intense emotional moments (could call them crashouts) from time to time. He’s also done drastic detective work (with mountains of fucking receipts) on ne’er do wells in the fediverse. It’d be pretty hard to fake all of it.

He might be using a script to schedule his posts out, but I’ve not seen any floating around, and karma doesn’t accumulate here like on reddit. There’s no end game with a cash out option for “being vaguely known on the fediverse”.

Look, no one’s above skepticism or investigation, but If you’re going to go after a well known member of the community, at least bring some receipts rather than telling people to look for themselves.

Nope. I don’t use a script. While I am aware that some people on Lemmy do, I don’t. Here’s what I do for my steps (which you can verify by looking at the specific timing of each post).

I open up a tab and I open up a file explorer. I split them so the files are on the left side and the tab is on the right. Then I middle click the folder called ‘Lemmy’ which opens up the posting page of every single community that I post in. I then click on a folder for each appropriate community. The files are named a random string of letters and I scroll to the bottom of the folder and start looking up from there. I find ones that I like to post at the moment that make me giggle and then I drag the file to the ‘browse’ button on the new tab. While it is uploading I make up a title (usually shitty). When the file is done uploading, I scroll down to the bottom of the page and click submit. When the page loads and shows the file was uploaded correctly, I close the tab and move on to the next one. If the file didn’t upload correctly (or if I change my mind on a title or something) I edit the post. Then I move on to the next tab.

The files are not uploaded at the same time. Some have minutes between, some have seconds. Depends on how long it takes for me to find a post that I like.

And just because why the fuck not… I’m going to go ahead and do a bunch of posts right now while listening to the stupid BBC music that I usually do and record me doing what I do. Just to shut @[email protected] up. Takes no real extra effort from me but will either demonstrate that the dude is just being antagonistic for the sake of it or if he’s actually willing to listen to anyone.

                Edit: Done.

Edit 2: You know, you can just admit fault. Way more respectable than deleting everything in the argument.
