    Acetylpropionylmorphine and Dibenzoylmorphine are designed variants of morphine with severely reduced side effects. They were made in 1875.

        My point was that we’ve been designing drugs on a molecular level for a long time.

        But if you want a psychedelics specifically, here is one from 1974. And there is probably even earlier examples.
