So as I’ve been trying to dodge my permaban, one of the things I’ve come across is called a User Agent Switcher. It’s basically just a browser extension for Google that tricks it into thinking you’re on another device or search browser.

I’ve found that, so far without fail, switching my user agent over to either iPhone 6 or iPad completely dodges Reddit’s autodetection, at least for a day or two. I’m literally loading up Reddit on the same exact IP, same device, same Google account, but just tricking Reddit into thinking I’m on an iPad and I’m able to post scotch-free.

Eventually, I do get permabanned, but it is not nearly as aggressive as it usually is. Usually when I make a new account, the instant I post or comment something I’ll get swooped up by the bots and get auto-suspended. With this though, I’m basically able to post and comment as frequently as I’d like, and wherever I’d like, and I only get permabanned later when presumably a real-life human admin actually looks over my account.

This has been great when I want to post something without fear of it getting wiped off the platform by a bot suspension, or if I have a question in like a video game or something.

Let me know in the comments if anyone else has had any similar successes!
