Don’t know what the exact cause was/is for this big surge - but I am glad to see it. No matter what personal problems people may have with the main devs, they are doing great work on the platform.

They posted asking for people to stand up for them. Dirty communists like myself (okay, and others) stood up and pushed that message everywhere we could. Because you have to want freedom and democracy. It does not come for free.
