As the Saudis work to impress Trump during his trip to Riyadh this week, they're focusing on even the smallest details—like his fondness for the Golden Arches.
I know it’s fun to use this sort of thing to bag on the Saudis and on Trump, and I’m a fan of neither, but just wanted to point out that this kind of thing is pretty common.
It’s just a food truck. Sure it’s a bit bigger than your average food truck, but that are catering to larger crowds. I’ve seen these at events across Europe, and in Australia. I’m sure there’s plenty trundling around the States as well.
I think what we find funny here is that it’s McD… You’d usually bring out fancier stuff for a head of state. You know, refined stuff made by a chef, not sloppy fast food.
As a lifelong USian I have never seen a McDonald’s food truck in my entire life (yes we do food trucks here). Presumably because McDonalds already has a location anywhere that one could possibly want a shitty ripoff burger.

McD is pretty much the height of American cuisine, lol.
