I don’t mean actively trying to commit suicide or being careless and stupid, you know, just feeling like if I woke up tomorrow and said to me, “Oh hey, like, you died last night” I wouldn’t care.
Is this something serious? Should I seek help or consulting?
Well, the fear of death is called thanatophobia, and the antonym of that is thanatophilia but that implies a lust for death. At least from my searches there isn’t an English word or diagnosis for an indifference to one’s own death. It may be along the same lines as nihilism.
As for whether it’s a matter for concern, I’d say only if it’s concerning to you personally or negatively affects how you live your life.
