A year and a half ago I could have named a bunch, used them for over a decade (but of course domains would frequently change). But since switching to my own plex server + torrent, I’ve never looked back. It gives you all the meta data, trailers, rating and recommendations which you’d expect from paid streaming services, even features like skip intro/credits and keeping track of your progress (even mid episode).

I know, it’s not what you’re asking for, but someone had to bring it up.

I usually have “NSFW” post hidden on this account to avoid all the porn on /all, but this is very much the account I want to read the news on.

Proper news outlets will usually have their own NSFW warnings and blurr in place to alert people even after they clicked the link. If your link really contains material that requires an NSFW tag before clicking, it probably doesn’t belong in a news community to begin with.

The smallest mammal (Etruscan shrew) is about the same size as the largest ant (Driver ant Queen). You probably need to speed up the tiny-lion metabolism, but in general the mammal body plan can work around that size.

On the other hand, to scale up insects to the size of a lion, you would need to completly redesign the respiratory at least and the entire exoskeleton construct will also be pushed to it’s structural limits.

Downscaling mammals is much more realistic then upscaling arthropods.

A lion sized ant would asphyxiate rather quickly. Breathing through spiracles/tracheae doesn’t scale well.

Not really. Sometimes a sale randomly lines up with something I was gonna buy anyway, but I usually don’t buy stuff because it’s on sale or wait with buying something till it is on sale. For stuff like groceries I don’t even check the price at all.

Yeah the joke doesn’t really work when you flip it around because people don’t actually go around telling other people that they eat meat out of the blue. And why would you? In most western societies that’s just the assumed default anyway and there is no “moral highground” to claim with such a statement.
